Description

A one-day theoretical course with leading international speakers who bring orthodontic treatment up to date from a multidisciplinary approach: the foundations, strategies and clinical application of aligner treatment.

The course presents a simplified guide to Efficient Orthodontics, built on one philosophy: “Improving our treatment timing to improve our quality of life”. A system that is not only clinically sound, but also efficient to apply.

Most aligner treatments achieve good dental alignment, but few reach an excellent functional and aesthetic finish. You will learn digital and biomechanical strategies to optimise the finishing phase: which diagnostic needs to protocolise, which steps to consider in digital planning, and which clinical manoeuvres deliver excellent results.

Through clinical cases, the speakers will share the concepts and the technical and clinical manoeuvres needed to detail orthodontic cases with clear aligners, all based on scientific evidence.

Objectives

  • Plan aligner treatments correctly.
  • Learn the latest digital tools available to increase the predictability of your treatments.
  • Understand the most frequent errors in aligner treatments and how to avoid them.
  • Acquire the knowledge to carry out complex treatments with aligners.

Syllabus

Description

Modern implantology aims for treatments with minimal morbidity and maximum predictability that return patients to their social life as soon as possible. Patients with terminal dentition are a challenge in both planning and treatment.

Reconstructing the maxilla takes time and carries high morbidity, which is why patients prefer graftless anchorage solutions. The maxillary sinus and the natural softness of maxillary bone make implant treatment more complex and call for specific anchorage solutions.

In the afternoon, the course focuses on All-on-4 and All-on-6: distal tilting of implants allows longer implants, better support with a short cantilever and immediate full-arch rehabilitation with fewer implants. It is designed for clinicians who already have experience in implantology.

Syllabus

09:00 – 13:30

Graftless solutions in the atrophic maxilla: a practical viewpoint · Dr. David Morales

  • Types of atrophy and their solutions without grafts or major regeneration
  • Trans-nasal implants

Description

A two-day hands-on course with one of the most renowned international speakers in aesthetic oral rehabilitation with composite resins.

Dental sculpture combines technical precision with aesthetic creativity. Dr. Ronaldo Hirata will share his experience to help you master dental sculpting techniques and achieve exceptional results.

Traditional layering requires in-depth knowledge of adhesion, materials and dental anatomy, which makes it complex and time-consuming. It can be simplified with a cut-back technique followed by stains and translucent resins, an alternative comparable to ceramics with incisal cut-back.

The workshop covers composite layering (dentine, chromatic and achromatic enamel), the cut-back technique, the use of stains, and finishing and polishing of veneers with the best materials, step by step.

Objectives

  • Recognise clinical situations where composites are a more conservative aesthetic restorative option.
  • Understand traditional composite layering.
  • Learn the anatomy of anterior and posterior teeth.
  • Establish the sequence for composite restorations in anterior and posterior teeth.
  • Understand the possibilities composite resins offer to improve your restorations.
  • Learn the tips that simplify the process to achieve natural, long-lasting restorations.
  • Become familiar with the new simplified composite techniques for anterior restorations.
  • Establish a finishing and polishing protocol for anterior teeth.

Syllabus

Friday 6 Nov

Posterior teeth

  • Introduction
  • Anatomy and physiology of posterior teeth; layering with new composite resin systems; colour in composite resins; types of resins and required products
  • Hands-on tooth 17 (class I)
  • Hands-on tooth 16 (class II)
Saturday 7 Nov

Anterior teeth

  • Hands-on tooth 11 (class IV) with the STAMP technique
  • Cut-back and use of composite stains (how to mimic natural effects)
  • Hands-on tooth 21: anterior reconstruction
  • Mirror areas and symmetry; finishing and polishing
